Tips To Stay In Control

A balanced approach to betting

We want you to enjoy your visits to Mrluck88.com because if you don’t you may not come back. That’s why we like to inject all our products and services with a little bit of fun and the occasional risqué joke. However, part of making it an enjoyable experience lies with you. If you stay in control and only bet when you decide to you can enjoy the experience.

If at any point gambling stops becoming fun, we encourage you to contact us. We will always endeavour to use our experience to support and direct you to find help if you find yourself in difficulties

Tips for Betting Sensibly

  • Jobs are for making money, gambling is a form of entertainment. Sometimes you’ll win; sometimes you’ll lose but treat it as an entertainment expense, like a movie ticket, rather than a way to make money.
  • Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. If you win it’s a bonus and if you lose you won’t be left feeling stressed and anxious.
  • Know your limits and be clear about them before you start to gamble. When you hit your limit, whether it’s a financial limit or a time limit, stop and go do something else.
  • Take a break. Gambling continuously without taking a break will impact your judgement, and most likely your relationship. You also need to eat at regular intervals.
  • Don’t gamble when you’re upset or depressed. A betting slip isn’t a prescription pad. It won’t cure what ails you. If you’re feeling upset or depressed then don’t gamble.
  • Do other stuff. If you find that gambling is your only form of entertainment then you may have a problem. If you’re not having fun then you’re doing it wrong. Sometimes less is more and making gambling a part of a well-balanced lifestyle will help to bring the fun back.
  • Don’t go chasing. Trying to win back lost money by placing bets you can’t afford is a recipe for disaster. Set your limits, stay in control.

The Key to Winning at Roulette (and a Useful System)

Roulette is by far the most popular online casino game. And when you place your chips on a Roulette table betting layout you’re probably asking yourself, ‘Where is the ball going to land?’

But the question you really should be trying to work out is, ‘When is the ball likely to land in one of the numbered pockets you’re betting on?’ Because in my opinion, building a strategy around this likelihood is the key to winning at Roulette.

Allow me to explain.

  • Most players bet on numbers before the ball has been spun because they’re trying to win using previous outcomes as a guide. They’re looking for a pattern and so bet in a way that if that pattern continues they’ll win.
  • Other players stick to the same set of numbers or
  • Devise some other form of number picking System.

Whatever method you use to try and win, (And I’m going to suggest a System of my own at the end of this article) there’re a few important key points you should factor into your overall strategy. Implementing the advice, I’m going to refer to will set you apart from most Roulette players.

Since Roulette is a random game of chance there are many that say winning depends on luck alone. So, I’ll address this point first.

LUCK

There’ll be times playing Roulette when you feel invincible, no matter the speed of the ball or the rotation speed of the wheel or the way the ball lands into one of the pockets, the outcomes will work out for you as if you were just meant to win.

There will always be Roulette players that experience lucky days, but the problem with luck is it cannot be used as a method because you can never know when this form of luck will appear.

If you sense you’re on a lucky streak you could take full advantage by increasing your wagers as you’re winning and of course up until your luck vanishes. Being lucky is making profits spin after spin or when there’re only a few losses in-between wins. During these times you could also maximise your profits by increasing your wagers following a few losing results. In this way you’re turning outcomes into wins because you’ve managed your bankroll positively during the dominant cluster of those wins you’ve encountered.

But let’s be under no illusions about Roulette, for it’s not so much a game about mysterious luck alone, but a game about the method or System you’ll use and moreover all about ‘timing.’

If a method works well when you’re using it, you’ll be in luck. You’ve heard the expression, ‘you make your own luck.’ Making it work for you on Roulette games is not only possible but using the right method and managing the highs and lows (within the timing: number of losses before wins and vice versa) will result in you being lucky and winning more often.

THE PLAYER’S EDGE

Does one exist? If so it would contradict the house edge that is firmly established in mathematics. It doesn’t seem possible that a player can have an edge. I mean, unless a Roulette wheel has a bias, or you can work out where a ball might land as it’s spinning and before the call ‘no more bets’ is announced, or you can know the future, overcoming the mathematical model of the house edge is simply impossible.

But there’s winning and there is winning. For instance, you could cover all the numbers and watch as the dolly marker is placed on one of your chips. However, since there’s 37 pockets on a European Roulette wheel and the Straight up payout is 35 to 1, having secured your 1 chip wager on a winning number along with the 35 chips you would win (total =36) you’d be losing 1 chip.

Leave out 1 number, covering just 36 numbers and you’ll be breaking even if one of your numbers is the outcome. So clearly this is not profitable. If you leave out 2 or more numbers, you can work out that the risk to reward favours the house because when you lose just once you’ll need to win lots of outcomes to recover your losses.

IF THERE’S A PLAYER’S EDGE WHAT IS IT?

Years of forming different Roulette Systems had given me this answer. Sure, some methods are better than others and I do have my favourites, but what all good Systems have in common is they go through regular winning and losing phases.

If you adjust your betting in line with the highs and lows of the method you’re using, you’ll generate a money management edge that’ll be reflected in your bankroll.

Correct application gives you ‘an edge over your losses’ thus saving you losing more which results in you holding onto more of your winnings. Preventing your bankroll from being reduced keeps you in the game which means you’ll have the chip power to increase your bets when winning clusters occur.

8 Slot Tips You Must Know

It’s a given among people who run both live casinos and online casinos: People love to play slot machines.

In some nations, including the United States, slot machines are the most-played casino games. In the rest, popularity is surging to the point slot play is rivaling table play.

That naturally leads players to the big question: “How do you win on the slot machines?” It also brings the related questions, “Are there systems for beating the slot machines?” and “How have others beaten the machines?”

Odds on slot machines are unchanging. There’s nothing you can do legally that will change the outcome, though scam artists sometimes have succeeded until caught, arrested and imprisoned.

But there are approaches that will help you get the most out of the games.

Let’s take a two-tiered approach to the big questions, with tips for playing slot machines, systems for playing with their strengths and flaws, and slot machines cheats & scams.

SLOT TIP 1: HIGHER DENOMINATION SLOTS HAVE HIGHER PAYBACK PERCENTAGES

It was true when three-reel games ruled slot floors, and it’s true now when the large majority of games are video slots: Dollar slots yield a higher payback percentage than quarter slots, which may more than nickel slots, which pay more than penny games. That doesn’t mean everyone should rush out and play dollar slots. There are factors beyond payback percentage, including entertainment value and what you want from a game.Even in pure dollars and cents, playing higher-denomination games means bigger bets and more risk. If you’re betting $3 on a three-coin dollar slot that pays 95 percent, your average losses will be more money than if you’re betting 40 cents on a 40-line 1-cent game that pays 86 percent.

SLOT TIP 2: IF YOU PLAY PROGRESSIVE SLOTS, MAKE SURE YOU BET ENOUGH TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE JACKPOTS

On progressive slot machines, a percentage of each wager is added to the jackpot or jackpots.Three-reel slot machines usually have a single progressive jackpot on the top payoff, and you must bet maximum coins to be eligible. On a three-coin dollar slot machines, for example, you can’t win the progressive if you bet only one or two coins. Instead, landing the top jackpot combination on the payline brings a reduced payoff at a fixed amount. On video slots, progressive jackpots usually are multi-tiered. Anywhere from two to 12 progressive levels have been offered. Typical is a four-tier progressive with levels labeled mini, minor, major and grand, or bronze, silver, gold and platinum, or something similar. On some video slots, all players are eligible for the jackpots regardless of bet size. On others, you must make a separate bet to be jackpot eligible. The jackpots are the main events on progressives, and aside from those jackpots, the games usually pay less than other games. If you are going to play a progressive, make the bet necessary to be jackpot-eligible. If you don’t want to bet that much, play a different game.

SLOT TIP 3: CHOOSE GAMES THAT FIT YOUR GOALS AND PLAYING PERSONALITY

Are you looking for games that give you maximum jackpot opportunities, games extend play with frequent small wins or something in between?Lines can be a little blurred as game designers experiment in all formats but there are a few general guidelines.Three-reel games put more emphasis on their top jackpots but have a lower hit frequency with more losing spins. They give you the best chance to win big, but also the best chance to lose fast.In video slots with pick’em bonuses, you touch the screen to pick gift boxes, restaurant dishes, alien creatures or other game icons to reveal your bonuses.Video slots that feature pick’em bonuses usually have high hit frequencies with many small wins that give you extended play, but a lesser chance at a big jackpot.Video slots that feature free spins as their main bonus events usually fall between the three-reel games and the pick’em games in both volatility and the chance at a big win.During free spins you make no additional bets and can win anything up to the top jackpot. However, it’s also possible to win nothing on the free spins. That possibility of a zero-bonus balances the possibility of bigger wins than you see in pick’em bonuses. It’s up to you to decide where to find the most value – in jackpot chances, in the player-participation opportunity of pick’em bonuses, or in the hit-and-miss nature of free spins.

SLOT TIP 4: ALWAYS PLAY WITHIN YOUR BUDGET AND BE WILLING TO LOWER YOUR BET OR STOP PLAYING IF YOU HIT A LIMIT

Most sessions on slot machines will result in losing money, and there’s nothing you can do to chance that.Sometimes you’ll win at slots, and even win big. Enjoy those times when they come. But never bet money you can’t afford to lose, and be sure you’re playing games that fit your bankroll. As a basic rule of thumb, your gambling bankroll should cover 250 bets to give you a 90 percent chance of lasting three hours.

Here’s a breakdown of recommended bankrolls for that 90-percent chance of three hours without spending it all in some common configurations:

  • If you walk into a live casino or log onto an online casino with $200, you can’t afford to play dollar slots. Should you decide you want to try them anyway and find you lose a quick $100, be prepared to either walk away or drop to penny slots with the rest of the money.
  • Slot machines don’t give player the opportunity to make multiple bets in combinations like craps or roulette, or to take advantage of ever-shifting odds as card counters do in blackjack. Nevertheless, slot machines players have tried systems play for generations.
  • Ultimately, however, slot machine odds are unchanging, the same on every spin. The most creative systems might be fun to try, but they can’t make you a consistent winner.

SLOT TIP 5: START SMALL TO WIN BIG, OR “PRIME THE PUMP”

Prime the pump bettors assume the wins won’t come right away. They start with small bets and work up and hope to be betting big when the wins come.Actually, you’re as likely to win early as later on, and starting small will miss some winners. The payback percentage will be the same as if you’d bet the same amount on every spin.Chuck Flick, a slot player who tested many systems, tried priming the pump by stepping up his bets in a regular pattern. In five trials, he had four losing sessions and one winner – a normal outcome even if you’re not starting small.

SLOT TIP 6: PLAY MACHINES AT THE ENDS OF ROWS

The theory is that machines at the ends of rows are visible to passers-by and casinos want those other customers to see slot players winning. That’s of much less importance today with payoffs by bar-coded ticket rather than by coins dropping in a tray. The obvious signs of winning are gone.In modern casinos, games of the same type in a row usually have the same payback percentage.

SLOT TIP 7: SCOUT MACHINES OF THOSE THAT ARE PAYING BIG

Some players like to play games that have made big payouts, figuring they’re hot machines. Others avoid those games, figuring they’re due to go cold. The opposite applies, too. Some players figure cold machines are duds. Others think they’re due to get hot. In reality, allstreaks are just blips on the radar to machines that yield a normal payback percentage over hundreds of thousands of plays.Machines are never “due” to go hot or cold, and recent paybacks do not offer any clue as to how a machine will perform for you.

SLOT TIP 8: LOOK FOR NEAR MISSES

Scouting near misses means looking for games with jackpot symbols on the reels or screen, but just short of a winning combination. If you’re in the right frame of mind, the scouting can add a little intrigue to choosing a game, but near misses aren’t really any indication of what’s to come.Near misses give no indication of future outcomes. So it goes with slot systems. They can add a little interest to the games, but they can’t change your outcomes or lead you to a winning machine.

Jackpot Slots – Everything You Need to Know About

Unsurprisingly, jackpot slots are amongst the most profitable and popular of all casino games on the net. Every player dreams of landing a big win on them, and because of that, millions of pounds worth of cash is thrown into jackpot slots every week. What are jackpot slot machines, though, and how can you expect to walk away with the top prize?

Aren’t all slots jackpot slots?

In a manner of speaking, yes; however, there are two types of jackpot slots. Ordinarily, the slot machines with fixed jackpots (we know them as non-progressive slots) aren’t called jackpot slots. Instead, we reserve this title for progressive jackpot slots, in short, games which do not have a capped or fixed jackpot. When you hear a casino talking about jackpot slot machines, they are talking about progressive slots.

A progressive jackpot slowly (sometimes rapidly) builds up with each new wager that is placed on it. As there is no cap, the jackpot keeps on growing until it is won. Once it is won, the prize disappears, and a new prize becomes available, which is fixed at a minimum base level. When new bets continue, the jackpot rises once more until it is won again, keeping the cycle going. Progressive slots can often run on a network, meaning that several games all share the same progressive jackpot prizes. Following a win on any of those games, the jackpot is removed from all other slots on that network.

Winning progressive prizes

There are numerous ways to win cash prizes in jackpot slot machines. It helps to know how you can trigger a progressive prize on a jackpot slot before you sit down to play. The most common ways to win a jackpot prize are by landing a winning combo on a payline, at random, or playing a slot recently enough that you can get a share of a community prize. Grab the best casino bonus and start playing!

Randomly awarded jackpots

Jackpot slot machines which randomly award their prizes do not require players to do anything other than spin the reels. If there is just a single jackpot prize up for grabs, you will instantly win it at random in these types of games. However, if there are two or more available, you will likely be taken to a bonus round at random.

In a jackpot bonus round, players are likely to be able to win one of several progressive prizes, each varying in value. Some bonus rounds guarantee you one of the jackpot prizes, while others offer consolation prizes, too. Most jackpot bonus rounds feature a wheel of fortune or a scratch card-style bonus, but the exact mechanism to trigger a win may vary from slot to slot.

Payline jackpot prizes

Winning a jackpot prize on paylines in some games is possible. A few of the older jackpot slot machines require players to land a five-of-a-kind winning combination of jackpot icons on a line. Sometimes, the restrictions are so tight that you’ll have to land that combo on a specific payline. Jackpot slot machines which pay out their prizes on paylines will typically require players to place maximum stake bets to win a progressive. Failing to do so and landing the winning combo will often deliver a consolation prize instead.

Community jackpots

There are also community jackpot slots. These may have a prize triggered via either one of the methods mentioned above or another way. There is a trick, though. You don’t need to be the one who triggers the jackpot to win a cash prize. With community jackpot slot machines, everybody who has played the slot recently, or wagered a certain amount, or is playing at the time the jackpot is won will pocket a share of the pot. The rules for each community jackpot slot vary, so read up on those before you play.

How much can I win?

The amount you can win varies from jackpot slot to slot. Some of the internet’s most prominent progressive jackpot slots, such as Microgaming’s Mega Moolah and Net Entertainment’s Mega Fortune have delivered prizes worth more than £10m. Others, which include Net Entertainment’s Hall of Gods and Playtech’s Gladiator often provide prizes worth between £€1m and £€5m. Mega Fortune: Dreams, the sequel to Mega Fortune has been known to deliver similar cash prizes.

Playtech’s DC Universe slots – although hugely popular and running on a 4-tier progressive jackpot network – seldom pay out more than a £1m at a time, and there are countless other slots out there which can deliver progressive jackpot prizes ranging from £€5,000 up to several hundred thousand pounds, too. Naturally, there are not as popular as the big jackpot slots you can find on the net.

How to Play Blackjack Online

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games. Whilst games such as slots rely on chance and require little skill, with blackjack, the decisions you make affect the outcome of the game. As such, it provides an immersive and engaging playing experience. If you fancy playing blackjack but are unsure of what is involved, you will find everything you need to get you started on this page.

THE BASICS OF BLACKJACK

The objective of blackjack is to beat the dealer. This can be done by getting 21 points with your first 2 cards (a natural or blackjack). Alternatively, by drawing cards that reach a higher total value than the dealer, without exceeding 21. There are different payouts for winning with various hands. The value of the cards in blackjack is quite straightforward. Cards 2 – 10 are equal to their numerical value. All face cards (jack, queen and king) are worth 10 points. An ace can be counted as either 1 or 11. The value of the ace always works in the favour of the player.

INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO PLAY

In order to play the game online, you must first place a bet, then click deal for the round to start. You will be dealt 2 cards initially. The dealer also gets 2 cards, with one of the cards dealt face up and the other face down (the hole card). You will then be faced with a selection of decisions as to how to play your hand.

The Player’s Decision – Hit or Stand

Once the cards have been dealt, it is the player’s turn to take action. If you have an ace and a 10 card, you have blackjack, the strongest possible hand. If your cards equal any other amount, you must decide what action to take. You can hit, meaning an additional card will be dealt to your hand. You can hit as many times as you like, provided you do not exceed 21. There are a couple of additional actions which players can take, and we will delve into these later. Once you are satisfied with your hand, you can stand, and once all players have completed their turn, play passes to the dealer.

The Dealer’s Turn

The dealer will start by turning over their hole card to reveal its value. If the dealer has blackjack, the round ends. All players lose unless they also have a natural blackjack. If the dealer’s cards do not total 21, they too must make a set of decisions depending on the cards they have. The dealer follows a specific set of rules regarding whether they should hit or stand. In most cases, if the dealer’s hand totals less than 17, they must hit. Once they get 17 or more, they must stand.

Payouts

If the dealer is bust (i.e. their hand exceeds 21), all other remaining players win. If the dealer’s hand totals between 17 and 21, it is compared to the other players’ hands. Players with a higher point total win a payout of 1:1, so if you bet £10, you would win £10 and also get your £10 stake back. Players with a lower score than the dealer lose their bet. In the case that the dealer and the player have the same score, the result is a push. This means the player gets back their original bet. When the dealer has blackjack, only players who also have blackjack will get a payout. This result is paid at 1:1, rather than 3:2 when the player only has blackjack. It is worth noting that if a player’s hand has a total of 21 from 3 or more cards, this does not beat a dealer blackjack.

ADDITIONAL PLAYER DECISIONS

As mentioned earlier, in addition to the standard moves of hit or stand, there are a few more actions which are available to players, depending on the cards dealt. These can add an extra level of excitement to your gameplay.

Insurance

If the dealer’s up card is an ace, you will be offered the option of placing an insurance bet. This is to insure you in the case that the hole card is a 10 and the dealer has blackjack. The insurance bet is half of your original bet.If the dealer does not have blackjack, your insurance bet is lost and the game continues as usual. However, if the dealer does have blackjack, your side bet will be paid out at 2:1. Given that you will lose your starting bet, the insurance payout means that you will break even.

Split Pairs

If the first 2 cards you are dealt have an equal value, you have the option to split your pair. You will need to place an additional bet to the same value of your first. You then continue to play each hand independently of one another. One more card will be dealt to each hand, and you can opt to hit or stand. Some casinos will allow you to split again if you end up with another pair in a hand.

In most cases, if you split a pair of aces, you will only be permitted to draw one more card per hand. If you get an ace and a 10 from a split hand, this is counted as 21 rather than blackjack. As such, the payout for winning with this hand is 1:1 rather than 3:2.

Double Down

After your first 2 cards have been dealt, you have the option to double down. By clicking double, you will place an additional bet equal to your original bet. You are then dealt just 1 more card. You will not have the option to hit again after this card is dealt. If you win the game with this hand, you will receive the standard payout of 1:1.

Whilst you can double down on any hand in most blackjack games, in some variants, you will only be allowed to double down if your cards total a certain value. This could be a total of 8, 9, 10 or 11. You will also find that some casinos will allow players to double down on split hands.

Surrender

In some variants of blackjack, you will have the option to surrender. If you are not dealt a good starting hand, you can opt to stop playing. You will get half of your wager back if you take this action. Some casinos will not offer the option to surrender if the dealer has blackjack.

ALTERNATIVE RULES AND VARIANTS

We have covered the basics of the game of 21 in this article and you should now know everything you need to start playing classic blackjack. For the most authentic real casino experience, you should try live blackjack. Here, you play against a real dealer and other players will be seated at the table. You can also bet behind another player at the table, which is a great way to build your skills and understanding of blackjack strategy.

Of course, at online casinos you will find a rich selection of blackjack variants. Some of these feature innovative twists on the classic rules. Others feature interesting side bets. Once you have played the traditional game and have a better understanding of what is involved, you can try your hand at quirky variants such as Blackjack Switch and Double Attack Blackjack.

Popular Live Dealer Games in Online Casinos

Live casino combines the best features of real-life casino and online experience. Live dealer games are streamed from land-based casinos, where live dealers are dealing real cards and launching real balls. The advantage is that you can play these games from the comfort of your home or somewhere on the go. Thanks to the excellent HD quality, the many customisable options and the opportunity to chat in real time with the dealer and the other players, you will experience the same thrill as playing in a real land-based casino. In addition, most online casinos offer a great variety of live dealer games. Some of the most popular live games among players are live roulette, live blackjack and live baccarat, but there are also Dragon Tiger, poker, money wheel, etc.

LIVE ROULETTE

Live Roulette is one of the most popular games in online casinos. It is played with a real dealer and a real roulette wheel. The rules are very simple. You can choose to place bets on either a single number, groupings of numbers, the colours red or black, whether the number is odd or even, or if the numbers are high. The dealer spins the wheel in one direction, then spins the ball in the opposite direction and when the ball loses momentum it falls into one of the 37 or 38 coloured and numbered pockets on the wheel, thus determining the winning number and colour.

LIVE BLACKJACK

Live Blackjack is one of the most preferred casino games as it involves a combination of skill and strategy. The goal in blackjack, also known as 21, is to successfully come closer than the dealer does to a total score of 21. When playing Live Blackjack, you are dealt physical cards by a real dealer. The deal is from 6 or 8 deck shoe tables. Most of the major live casino platforms use manual shoe shuffle in full view of the camera, while some use shuffle machines.

There are many variants of Live Blackjack. For all of them Blackjack pays 3:2, but there are many rules in which the various games differ such as the number of decks used, whether the dealer stands on all 17s, or whether players can hit split Aces, for example. Moreover, some blackjack tables offer a number of side bets, which you can place in addition to the main bet.

The most common blackjack table in online casinos has 7 seats. You take one seat and play together with other seated players. When the table is full, you have to wait for a seat to become free, or you have the option to bet behind one of the seated players. There are also private or exclusive blackjack tables that are accessible by players at a single casino. The advantage of VIP tables is that there are more seats available even during busy times.

LIVE BACCARAT

Live Baccarat is a simple card game that requires little strategy. Known as the high rollers’ game, baccarat is played between two hands, the ‘player’ and the ‘banker’. The aim is to bet that one of two hands will get close to 9 – either the ‘bank’ or the ‘player’. You can also bet on a ‘tie’. The game’s three most popular variants are Punto Banco, Baccarat Chemin de Fer, and Baccarat Banque. The game is played by multiple players on the same table. Most of these tables offer standard returns: for banker – 0.95:1; for player – 1:1; and tie bets 8:1.

Various tables can offer additional side bets and progressive jackpots, which make the game more exciting for players. Some tables offer a few variations, including No Commission and Super 6 Baccarat, among others, featuring a slightly different payout structure. The tables also feature different deal types such as speed deal, regular deal, dealer-controlled card squeeze or player-controlled card squeeze.

Live Casino Hold’em

This is the most popular poker game in the world. You play against the dealer, with the aim to make the best five-card hand. The game begins with players placing a bet, or ‘ante’. There is also the option of making a bonus bet. Once the ‘antes’ and optional bonus bets are placed, the dealer deals two face up cards to the player’s hand and two face down cards to their own position. Three shared community cards are then dealt face up – the ‘flop’, to be used by all players in their final five-card hand. The dealer places a bet and players choose to ‘call’ or ‘fold’. If you ‘fold’, you lose your ‘ante’. If you ‘call’, the dealer will deal two more community cards. The best five-card poker hand wins.

LIVE DRAGON TIGER

Live Dragon Tiger is a very simple casino game, which is often described as a two-card version of baccarat. You have the option to bet Dragon, Tiger or Tie. The dealer then deals a single card to the Dragon position, and a single card to the Tiger position, and players bet on which card will be the highest or whether the deal will result in a tie. Highest card wins, with the King being the highest card and Ace being the lowest one. Winning Dragon or Tiger bet pay even money, while the tie payouts differ in accordance with the provider
